Adult Kickball League Rules and Registration Information

- To register a team, stop in the Parks and Recreation office.
- The total league fee is $100 for the season payable at registration. Registration deadline is August 13, 2010
- Games begin August 17 and end October 5, 2010 including playoffs.

Mandatory Mangers meeting,  Monday, August 16, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Mill Ave warming house .  League play will begin Tuesday night. 

  • Days Played - Tuesday nights

  • Starting Date - Tuesday, August 17, 2010 

  • Game Times - 6:00 p.m.

  1. Players: 6 men and 4 women on the field (minimum of 4 women on the team) A minimum of 8 players on the field with 4 of those being women. ( May use 2 youth's, 15 years or older on your team.) All other players must be 18 or older.

  2. All players on the team will kick with 10 players playing in the field each inning.

  3. Captains of each team  umpire their own games. All discrepancies  are cleared up on the field by the captains.

  4. Forty minute  time limit or 7 inning games .There is a 12 run rule after 5 innings. 

  5. Outs must be made by throwing below the head, catching the ball on the fly, or stepping on a base. All runners must touch the orange base at first.

  6. An official kickball rubber ball is used for kicking. (No more than 1.5 pounds of pressure is to be used in the ball.)

  7. Ball is rolled toward home plate in pitching.

  8. NO bouncies while pitching.

  9. Catcher may not field a ball until the kicker has left home plate.

  10. The pitcher or fielders cannot move in front of the pitching rubber until the ball is kicked.

  11. All kicks must be made below the knee.

  12. Kicker can step on home plate to kick but cannot cross home plate.

  13. Bunting is not allowed.

  14. Tag-ups are required if the ball is caught.

  15. Two strikes and three balls is the legal count. Two foul balls is an out.

  16. Once the pitcher has control of the ball in the circle the play stops.

  17. A runner touched by the ball or who touches the ball at any time while not on base while the ball is in play is out.

  18. You may use a courtesy runner for a hurt player. Last out made is the runner, however, you must get to first base to use the runner.

  19. If there is a tie game in the 7th inning, the visiting teams last out is placed on second base and the team play 3 outs and it is repeated by the home team. If the tie is not broken, the game remains a tie and each will get a half game credit.

  20. All teams must turn in a scorecard at the concession stand after their game.

  21. There will be no alcohol or glass containers in the dugouts at anytime.

  22. We will play in the rain as long as the field is in safe conditions and there is no lightning. In case of a rain make up, we will make up the game Thursday night of the same week.

  23. Profanity will result in a suspension

  24. Any confrontation with another team or team member, that results in yelling at, name calling or profanity used, will result in a suspension. Any players suspended must appear before a sportsmanship committee before reinstatement.

  25. In the event of playing with 9 players, the team has the option of eliminating the empty position they want (catcher, ie), excluding the pitcher.

We ask that you please pick up any cans that you may toss on the ground or cups used when drinking.  We do not want to have to enforce any drinking ordinances, so help out.  Do not sit and drink after 8pm games as the police will ask people to leave the parks after those games.
